Engaging youth as valued, contributing members of their communities in partnership with caring adults.

University of Missouri Extension - Urban West 4-H mission is to engage youth, families, and adult volunteers of all ages through clubs, camps, contests, conferences, special interest groups, in-school and afterschool programs, and more. It’s about young people making new friends and memories while preparing to be future leaders — from both rural and urban areas.

School Enrichment

School Enrichment brings 4-H hands-on projects into your classroom.

Embryology

Embryology is one of our favorite programs! We get the opportunity to deliver hundreds of chicks to students throughout the Urban West. This program helps our students learn about the life cycle of chicks and how to take care of them. They get a chance to name them and connect with them!
