Two levels of certification exams were developed to evaluate the competency of an individual about the material presented in the Basic Principles for Post-Frame Construction textbook from NFBA. An accompanying MU Canvas course entitled "Basic Principles for Post-Frame Construction - Basic Self-Study Guide" was developed to help individuals learn the material presented in the textbook.
Canvas Course Description
This course is designed to explore the design and construction practices of post-frame buildings. The course focuses on a fundamental understanding of the post-frame buildings, basic foundations of wood building construction and the unique construction aspects of each stage of the construction of a post-frame building. You are guided through the process of setting up the building site through the installation of the metal roof and siding of a post-frame building. You will also learn related math, tool usage and safety as it applies to the post-frame industry.

A score of 42 points is required for successful completion. After passing the exam, you will be able to access your certificate of completion.
