Course Overview:
The course will provide state-of-the-art models, concepts and solution methods important in the design, control, operation and management of supply chains. The emphasis will be on the applications of operation research models to optimize the components of an integrated supply chain.
Learning Outcomes:
Supply chain is an integral part of most business operations. A product’s journey from the manufacturer to the eventual customer often involves multiple intermediaries such as wholesalers, distributors and retailers. Designing a cost-effective supply chain while promptly reacting to customer needs is a challenging task. The course is appropriate for individuals looking to advance or start their career in industry in the supply chain area. Where appropriate, case studies and management games will be used to illustrate the course material.
