MU Extension, Truman State University, and AT Still University have partnered to present the Missouri Health Symposium on Dec. 6th. This year’s theme is Nurturing Wellness through Self-care & Humor. 

The free event is offered online and in-person, and our speakers include Karyn Buxman, RN, MSN, CSP, CPAE, Dr. Katryna Sardis MSW, EdD, and Zac Burden, MAE, Mayor of Kirksville, MO.

We have exciting presentations lined up:  

  • Karyn Buxman, who is a MU Nursing graduate, an international neurohumorist, inductee in the Speaker Hall of Fame, a TEDx presenter, and a brain-based high-performance coach will be presenting What’s So Funny About...Stress? and Amazed & Amused: Success, Significance and Happiness - Even in Challenging Times. 
  • Dr. Katryna Sardis, Assistant Director for Inclusive Engagement at the University of Missouri, will be presenting, Giving Yourself Grace. 
  • Zac Burden, Assistant Director of Resident Life at Truman State University, will be presenting, Building Out Your Wacky Neighborhood of Support. 

Participants must register to get access to the zoom link for the livestream.

In-person registration is allowed the day of, but preferred pre-registration.

Continuing Education Credits may be available upon request.
