COLUMBIA, Mo. – Golfers returned to the green at the A.L. Gustin Golf Course in Columbia to support Missouri 4-H youths at the 13th annual 4-H Clover Classic Golf Tournament on June 6. Co-presenting sponsors were Climate Field View and Great American Insurance-Crop Division.

“This year’s event saw an incredible turnout, with 35 teams showcasing their skills and demonstrating their unwavering support of Missouri 4-H to raise a record-breaking amount of more than $91,000,” said Rachel Augustine, director of the Missouri 4-H Foundation. “We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support and generosity shown by the participants and sponsors of the tournament. The funds raised will help us enhance the 4-H experience for more than 50,000 young Missourians across the state.”

Tournament chair Bob Idel and Chad Higgins, University of Missouri interim vice chancellor for extension and engagement, thanked everyone for their support of youths in Missouri before challenging teams to have fun on the golf course.

The Bob Idel Championship Cup for first place was presented to the Commerce Bank team of Jack Smith, Justice Fluty, Adam Burger and Lance Simons. Awards for the second place Championship Flight went to the Great American Insurance #2 team of Mark Rieger, Mike Guinan, Randy Barr and Sam Pickens.

Awards for first place A Flight went to the Folls Capital team of Lane Litton, Ann Wilhelm, Garret Mixon and Ben Brammeier. Awards for second place A Flight went to the Meatball Taco Club team of Kyle Buettner, Tanner Russell, Jimmy Steger and Mandi Veliz.

Awards for first place B Flight went to the Great American Insurance #1 team of Joshua Siegel, Jake Rogers, Kelly Erdman and Wendy Hall. Awards for second place B Flight went to the Three Gents and a Lad team of Jim Meyer, Alex Meyer, Kelly Schwabe and Jim Patrico.

Players enjoyed lunch provided by the Missouri Cattle Industry and Peachtree Catering. Lunch was prepared by Don Nikodim of the Missouri Pork Association, and Mike Deering and Sydney Thummel of the Missouri Cattle Industry. Fechtel Beverage & Sales Inc. was the beverage sponsor.

Foursomes teed off under the banner of hat sponsor FCS Financial. Margaritaville was sponsored by FCS Financial and hosted by FCS Financial Crop Insurance.
