John KruseFarmers in Indiana, Michigan and Ohio were able to make significant progress with corn planting this past week, allowing the U.S. average to move from 92% to 96% complete. U.S. average soybean plantings also jumped 8 percentage points, reaching 85% complete. Cotton reached 96% complete nationally, limited by progress in Missouri and Oklahoma. With excessive rainfall in Missouri, U.S. rice planting completion has not reached 100%.
