Professional background
Manita Ale is starting to work as a Field Specialist in Agricultural Business in the MU extension. She has worked in extension and project management in agricultural technologies and natural resources. She was born in the Chitwan district of Nepal, holds a bachelor’s degree in agriculture, a master’s in Agricultural Systems and Engineering from the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand; and a second master’s in Agricultural Economics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She has 6.5 years of working experience in USAID-funded projects with diverse roles in contributing to the extension of agricultural technologies, promoting agribusiness, and implementing projects in value chain models. In addition, she worked in climate change and disaster risk management, and natural resources management. She is excited to join MU Extension as a Field Specialist in Agribusiness to support urban agriculture.
