Since 1956, the State 4-H Council has served as the youth voice of the Missouri 4-H program. The State 4-H Council has had many changes since 1956 including the group size and uniform. Visually the group is known for their official dress, the Green Jacket. For decades the group has represented the Missouri 4-H program at a variety of events and advocated for youths’ interests. Throughout the years, the State 4-H Council has assisted in the planning and implementation of the state flagship event for the Missouri 4-H Program: State 4-H Congress. Since 1956, less than 1,200 Missouri 4-H’ers have held a position on the State 4-H Council.
