This guide is one in the Exploring Energy Efficiency and Alternatives (E3A): Biodiesel Applications for the Home, Farm or Ranch series. This one explains the mechanical extrusion process of separating oil from an oilseed. This process can be used to separate oil from soybeans and sunflowers, two common Missouri crops, and from cotton seed, peanuts, canola, safflower, flax, camelina and others crops.
