7 lessons
This curriculum contains three grade levels: seventh grade, eighth grade, and a seventh- and eighth-grade mixed-class level. Students learn to weigh their food and other fitness options and to make healthy lifestyle choices. Hands-on activities help teens learn to deal with issues like body image, what to eat at fast-food restaurants, and planning vegetarian diets consistent with the current USDA food graphic. Current health issues, such as hunger, are also covered. Each lesson includes a fitness break and snack ideas.
The curriculum is three-hole punched and comes with a cover and spine that can be slipped into a binder with clear front and side pockets.
