Editor's note
The following abstract describes a publication that is only available for purchase.
Forages are the foundation of a successful grazing operation. Forage selection should take into account annual forage yield, plant persistence, long-term persistence, long-term sustainability, and cost per unit produced. Forages and Weeds of Pastures is intended to help producers to select forages for pasture-based systems by comparing key characteristics of some 30 cool-season and warm-season grasses and legumes. Numerous color photographs assist in species identification. Included are descriptions and photos of more than 50 weeds common to Missouri pastureland.
